Job Title: Quality Coordinator

Department: Quality

Job Type: Full Time - Exempt

Location: Pullman, WA



The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance and Quality Control managers in day-to-day operations as well as managing key QMS processes to ensure continuous quality improvement in all services and products provided by VMRD. 



  • Support the quality management system functions to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2105, GLP, internal standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Manage the internal audit program and conduct internal audits  
  • Manage document control requests
  • Manage and maintain training records
  • Process improvements and special projects
  • Create/maintain written documentation of the responsibilities and procedures applicable to QA/QC functions
  • Efficiently and accurately perform product testing (such as ELISA, AGID, IFA), including proper documentation
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service
  • Inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods to ensure they meet required specifications
  • Restocking of lab supplies
  • Fulfill documentation and reporting requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the sciences and/or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience with quality assurance/quality control and managing ISO compliant quality management system processes
  • ISO certified internal auditor or equivalent
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification(s) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of processes and principles regarding the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system
  • Awareness of GLP/GMP principles
  • Experience with QT9 QMS software
  • Presents a positive image of VMRD to those inside and outside the company as a positive role model
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to other software
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and have the ability to bring together appropriate people and information to make timely, effective decisions.
  • Must be able to overcome obstacles and find reasonable resolutions to situations on a case by case basis as encountered.
